Dr. J Robin Atwell, M.D., P.A.

Dr. Atwell is a Board Certified Urologist with over 30 years experience in medical and surgical care. He graduated from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of South Carolina Medical School and completed his surgical residency at Vanderbilt University a year later.

Dr. Atwell completed his urology residency at Albert B. Chandler Medical Center at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where he served as Chief Resident. He received his Board Certification in 1986 and re-certified in October 2013.

Dr. Atwell is a member of the American Urological Association and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, for which he also serves as an Interviewer for the Candidate Group. He is also a member of the Indian River Medical Society as well as active staff at the Indian River Medical Center.

Dr. Atwell established the Vero Urology Center practice in 1989. Since opening its doors, Vero Urology Center has been recognized as a premier Urologic care center on the East Coast of Florida.

When he is not caring for patients in his practice, Dr. Atwell also donates his urological expertise and care to Chimpanzees at the Save the Chimps Organization in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
